Saima – Kyrgyz Handembroidery
Saima is the style of embroidery used in the Kyrgyz nomad tradition. Young brides would spend months preparing large wall hangings – called Tush Kyiz – as a wedding gift to be hung in the yurts of their new family.
For this collection we make use of the old craft of hand-embroidery while applying it for contemporary bags like this trendy foldover crossbody clutch. History meets present – east meet west!
